Question 1

A sample of 11 values of xx has ∑x=341\sum x = 341 and ∑x2=13847\sum x^{2} = 13847. Calculate the mean xˉ\bar{x} and the standard deviation σ\sigma of the sample, where σ=∑x2n−xˉ2\sigma = \sqrt{\frac{\sum x^{2}}{n} - \bar{x}^{2}}. Give each answer to 3 significant figures.
