A particle of mass 3 kg is projected up a line of greatest slope of a rough plane inclined at 45° to the horizontal. The coefficient of friction between the particle and the plane is 0.35. Find the deceleration of the particle while it moves up the plane. Take g = 9.8 m s⁻². Give your answer to 3 significant figures.
